Teaching Philosophy
I believe that information must be conveyed to students in a variety of ways and in our field, it is particularly important to include an interactive component. I believe in telling, showing, demonstrating, and engaging students with the material, reinforcing the concepts that I am trying to teach in more ways than one. Applying the information in exercises, quizzes, and small team projects in class seems to help students understand and retain the information better. I also believe in sharing real world experiences and explaining why the information is important which inspires students to think creatively and pursue design passionately. |
